Randolph Recreation Advisory Board Description:

The Randolph Recreation Advisory Board has a monthly meeting on the second Wednesday of each month at 6PM. All meetings are open to the public. The Board consists of nine members, all of which are appointed by the Town Manager. The Board shall act in an advisory capacity to the Town Manager and Director of Community Programs, under his/her supervision. The

Board shall review and report to the Town Manager on matters related to the operation and functions of community programs and Recreation facilities. The Board advises the Director of Community Programs on matters relating to the administration, operation, and further development of programs. These matters include but are not limited to:


  • Program needs, viability, and operations

  • Policies and Procedures for the use of facilities

  • Appropriateness of policies with suggested revisions as applicable

  • Short-term needs of the Recreation Department

  • Long-range planning needs and options

  • Appropriateness of long-term capital projects

  • Assessing maintenance of parks and facilities, reporting any issues to Community Programs Director


The Board shall also assist with larger community events by organizing volunteers, assisting with promotion, and creating community connections.
