Remove all decorations, tinsel and lights before placing at the curb. All other items must be scheduled in advance with the Health Department.
Cardboard Boxes
Please bring excess cardboard to the ‘Cardboard Only’ dumpster with the blue lid located at 6 Carlino Way in Randolph (behind Zapustas Ice Arena, across from the baseball field). Please flatten cardboard boxes and insert them in the slot at the front of the container.
Important for Recycling
Do not include wrapping paper, tissue paper, ribbons, bows, foil, tinsel, packing peanuts, string lights, Styrofoam, batteries or plastic bags of any type in the recycle bin. These materials cause malfunction at the recycling facility, by wrapping around moving mechanical sorting parts causing extensive damage to the recycle sorting machinery.
Batteries
Do not put rechargeable batteries or car batteries in the trash cart OR recycle bin. Rechargeable batteries and car batteries can be dropped off any time in the collection shed behind 1 Turner Lane. We ask that you put tape on the battery terminals prior to dropping off. These batteries are commonly found in cell phones, laptops, and small power tools. Batteries can also be brought to Household Hazardous Waste Day on August 8, 2026.
String Lights
Never put string lights in the recycle bin. String lights can cause damage to recycle facility machinery. You may bring unwanted string lights to the DPW Drop off Center at 6 Carlino Way, dates are listed below. You will find a labelled bin for the string lights next to the Cardboard Dumpster. String lights have valuable metals that can be recycled.
