SNOW EMERGENCY PARKING BAN IN EFFECT

Please be aware that any person removing or clearing snow and then deposits or leaves the snow in a public way can be fined $300.00.

Public safety personnel and DPW crews will be working throughout the winter storm. Residents are asked to ensure that vehicles are parked fully within your driveway. Cars that hang into the street can hamper our plowing efforts.

Roads need to be plowed wide enough to allow for the passage of emergency vehicles and two-way vehicle traffic. This may require snow banks to be pushed back after a storm has passed. The Department of Public Works is not responsible for snow plowed into the end of a driveway that has already been cleared by a private contractor.

Sidewalks on main streets around Town will be cleared after the streets have been plowed.

Help us with Snow Operations

Immediately following a storm, residents and business owners are asked to please keep public walkways clear.  No snow shall be thrown or placed onto any portion of a street in town that has been plowed or cleared for safe travel. The prompt clearing of snow from public ways can help ensure the safe passage of everyone and helps to maintain clear access to adjacent properties. If you have a vehicle, please ensure the vehicle is not parked blocking a sidewalk.

Adopt a Fire Hydrant

The Randolph Fire Department is asking friends and neighbors to help do their part and adopt a fire hydrant. Fire hydrants should be clear of snow within 3 feet on all sides and make a clear path to the fire hydrant from the street for quick and efficient access in the event of an emergency.

Be a Good Neighbor

The goal is to serve the community while helping to keep our sidewalks and public ways safe. While residents and business owners are outside clearing the snow, they can take another look at the adjacent sidewalk or property, or check on their neighbor and lend a hand if needed.

Clear a Storm Drain

Throughout the year, storm drains frequently collect debris from trees and items found on roadways. Clearing these drains before and after storms can help to greatly reduce the risk of flooding. Every little bit helps and can make a world of a difference!

Check on Your Neighbors

Keep an eye out for your neighbors who may need additional assistance following a storm, such as shoveling their walkway, driveway, or helping to move their vehicles.
